#107 You're Not My Friend

Loulou has decided to play games made only for two players, and someone always ends up being left out. In return, the other kids decide to leave Loulou out. By the end of the day the kids are arguing, telling each other "you're not my friend." Yaya tells them that you don't give up your friends just because you're angry with them. Yaya decides that there is too much conflict in the air and steps in to restore order. The children end up finding ways to compromise and decide on a game that they can all play together.

Theme: On Being a Friend

Children will learn that excluding your friends can hurt their feelings.
Children will learn that it is more fun when everyone can play and no one is left out.

Suggested Activities:

Extended Learning Activities

Option 1: Two Can Play (Discussion Activity)
Materials required: None

Ask the children to name some two person games. For example: checkers, patty-cake. Have they ever felt left out when two friends were playing these games? Have the children think of considerate ways to play these games without having others feeling excluded. For example: waiting until there are just two people, taking turns.
